Of course, there were some train difficulties as we headed into London for our monthly PROGRESS Wrestling show yesterday. Southampton were playing in the league cup at Wembley so the train was full of football fans and our first little train to a bigger Southampton station was cancelled due to flooding. First PROGRESS show of 2017! Much excitement for us J There was a slight wrinkle in that train work was going on around Clapham Junction so the trains weren’t running as frequently and we ended up getting a train that got us in an hour early. My last wrestling show of 2016 was PROGESS’ last of the year too, for the first time a show was held between Christmas and New Year and was titled Unboxing Live! as no matches or even wrestlers were announced before the show, every contest a complete surprise to fans in attendance. I went into November's PROGRESS show with an absolutely streaming cold, my nose running like a tap, passed onto me by my husband. But I refused to let that prevent me from attending the show lol. The second of the wrestling events I went to at the end of last month was our usual monthly Progress Wrestling show. I was looking forward to this wrestling show but also I wasn’t. Let me explain. It was PROGRESS’s biggest ever show, at the Brixton Academy in London, meaning there would be three times the normal amount of fans present. A Progress Sunday always sets me bubbling and bouncing, especially as the one last Sunday was the last show before the show in September which will be Progress’s biggest yet - in the 2,000 seat Brixton Academy. The annoyance of this wrestling date day was travel. The London tube line that takes us and everyone else to the station closest to the venue - literally a few doors down - was closed as there was maintenance being done all weekend.
